Welcome to Hamilton Girls' Field Lacrosse

Play outside this summer and find out what lacrosse has to offer you.

The outdoor girls' field lacrosse season typically runs from April to the end of July/beginning of August.  Hamilton currently runs rep teams who participate in the Ontario Women's Field Lacrosse League, OWFL, and introduced house league in 2018. The house league will  give local players and their parents a chance to join the growing ranks of lacrosse players in Canada.  Hamilton's girls' field lacrosse has been growing every year since its induction in 2011.

Bengal Cubs -- Hamilton's house league is for girls ages 4 to 6. The house league runs one day a week from 6-7 p.m., for eight weeks starting in mid-May  in Hamilton. Players and their parents will learn and develop their lacrosse skills in a fun and creative environment.

Bengals -- Hamilton's rep teams start practicing the end of March and continue to the end of July. These teams are offered from U11 up to Senior divisions and will participate in games on either Saturday or Sunday from May to July with a final provincial tournament at the end of the season. Rep teams usually practice on average of two days during the week.  While these are rep teams, we do encourage new players in the younger age categories. HLA promotes learning and fundamentals in order to develop the well rounded players.

Girls' field lacrosse requires minimal equipment. Goggles, stick, mouth guard and cleats are all a player required to play.

Hamilton Girls' Field Lacrosse Director Bill Moore will be happy to answer any questions new or returning players may have. Please contact him at wdmoore@rogers.com

Hamilton Lacrosse follows all OLA policy for COVID-19.
