Welcome U5 & U7 players! 

We are super excited to get you out on the floor this season.

KEY DETAILS-

Season Start Date: 

• Monday Players: April 22nd, 6-7pm at Bill Friday Arena (Lawfield Arena)
• Wednesday Players: April 24th, 6-7pm at Bill Friday Arena (Lawfield Arena)

Regular Schedule:

• Our program will run for 9 weeks at Bill Friday Arena (Lawfield Arena) on Mondays and Wednesday at 6pm. We will remain at Lawfield Arena for the entire season.
• Programming will end on June 19th for the Wednesday group and June 24th for the Monday group. The Monday group will end one week later due to Victoria Day.

Equipment Required:

• For this age group only helmet and gloves will be required

Free Stick:

• If your player was NEW to lacrosse this year, they are eligible for a free stick
• If you have not already picked up your free sticks, they can be picked up on the opening night of play (April 22 and 24)

Team Assignment & Player Shirts:

• Team assignment and player shirts will be picked up on the opening night of play (April 22 & 24)

Parent Volunteers:

• Although we have some knowledgeable coaches on the floor, we could always use some extra hands. The little ones often need help picking up their stick or even a squirt of their water bottle. If you are interested in helping out, please let us know and we’ll find a job for you.

Welcome U9 players to the 2024 season!

KEY DETAILS-

Season Start Date: 

The U9 Season tentatively scheduled to start the week of April 15th with two nights of skill assessment & development.  Players will attend ONE night this week based on the players last name:

• Wedneday April 17th 6pm- 7pm, (Rosedale Arena) - Last names starting with A-K
• Thursday April 18h 6pm-7pm, (Rosedale Arena) - Last names starting with L-Z
• Regular programing will start the following week with players attending both nights of play moving forward.

Regular Schedule:

• U9 programing will be scheduled at 6pm moving forward.
• Our program will continue after week 1 Mondays and Wednesday nights at either Rosedale or Dave Andreychuk Arena until May 1st & at Inch Park and Dave Andreychuk Arena until late May . 
• We will be moving this program to Chedoke later in May once ice is removed
• This program will run for 10 weeks and will end the week of June 24th

Equipment Required:

• For this age group full equipment is required with the exception of kidney pads
• Players can utilize hockey gear including helmet, shoulder pads, and gloves

Free Stick:

• If your player was NEW to lacrosse this year, they are eligible for a free stick

• All team assignment will be emailed directly to families after the assessment night!

When Will Programing Start:

• House League program will run from April 22* to June 26th.  *Please note that the start date is subject to changing by a week as we wait for ice out dates from the city
• Programing will run Monday & Wednesdays with no weekends!

Program Details:

U5/U7 Soft/Paperweight (2021, 2020, 2019, 2018) Program:

• U5/U7 is a non-contact program that lets kids learn in a fun environment, developing lacrosse skills through play with hands on coaching
• Players will be on the floor 1 hour a week
• Programing will be offered on Mondays and Wednesdays for these age groups with parents able to select the day that works best for their schedule
• All players will receive a Hamilton Lacrosse dry fit t-shirt
• All NEW PLAYER registrations in the paperweight program are eligible for a FREE stick valued at $50
• Helmet & Gloves are all you need to play (you can use your Hockey Helmet & Gloves)  
• NOTE: You will register for the general program in the portal and in early April all registered participants will be sent a survey to select their night of play for the season (Monday or Wednesday)           

U9 (2017, 2016) Program:

• U9 is a non-contact program that lets kids learn in a fun environment, developing lacrosse skills through play with hands on coaching
• Players will be on the floor twice a week for an hour

• All players will receive a Hamilton Lacrosse team jersey
• All NEW TO LACROSSE registrations in the Tyke program are eligible for a FREE stick valued at $50

U11 (2015, 2014) Programs:

• Program allows kids to develop skills through hands on coaching and playing competitive games
• Players will be on the floor twice a week for an hour
• Programing will run on Monday and Wednesday nights
• All players will receive a Hamilton Lacrosse team jersey

U13 (2013, 2012) Program:

• Program allows kids to develop skills through hands on coaching and playing competitive games
• Players will be on the floor twice a week for an hour
• Programing will run on Monday and Wednesday nights
• All players will receive a Hamilton Lacrosse team jersey

• This house league division will run pending adequate enrollment numbers.  As in the 2023 season, if we do not have enough players, we will offer the option of either a full refund OR the opportunity to participate in modified programing which will include training & game play (New Level Lacrosse). 

U15 (2011, 2010)  Program:

• This house league division will run pending adequate enrollment numbers.  As in the 2023 season, if we do not have enough players, we will offer the option of either a full refund OR the opportunity to participate in modified programing
• Players will be on the floor twice a week for an hour
• Programing will run on Monday and Wednesday nights
• All players will receive a Hamilton Lacrosse team jersey
• NOTE: There is a REP ONLY registration option for those who wish to only play rep level.  Please use this registration option if you are trying out for the U15 Bengals team.

U17 (2009/2008) Programs:

• This programs will only be offered as a travel team at the rep level. Please visit the Rep Box section of our website for more details

Programing Location:

• We are currently working with the City of Hamilton to confirm all venue locations.  As with previous seasons we will be using rink facilities on the Hamilton Mountain.  Programing will move around at the start of the season until we land at our Home Rink of Chedoke mid- May.

Program Times:

• Programing will run between 6pm-9pm with younger players taking the floor in the earlier time slots.  Exact start times for each division will be established once we have facilities confirmed.
