Women should play women’s lacrosse because it offers a powerful combination of physical fitness, teamwork, and personal growth in a fast-paced and supportive environment. The sport builds strength, speed, endurance, and coordination while also promoting strategic thinking and mental toughness. Women’s lacrosse encourages confidence and leadership, as players learn to communicate, make quick decisions, and trust their teammates. It also fosters a strong sense of community, creating lasting friendships and empowering athletes to challenge themselves, celebrate their abilities, and develop skills that extend far beyond the field and translate into real life.
Come out and try! We would love to meet you.

Eastwood Arena, 111 Burlington Street East, Hamilton
February 21st - Two sessions- 2-3pm or 3-4pm
Eastwood Arena, 111 Burlington Street East, Hamilton
More dates to Come!
** We ask that attendance is limited to 1 session as demand for our Try Lacrosse program is high, coupled with space limitations at facilities and we want to ensure that all interested kids get the chance to participate!
More info- these sessions are geared towards new players and their families and will give brand-new players the skills necessary to start their box or field lacrosse season. Sessions are for girls ages 3 and up. Hamilton Lacrosse Alumni will answer parent questions regarding equipment etc. and give new players a tip or two they will take to their game.
All participants MUST be registered prior to attending. HLA will provide a stick for the session for those that do not have one.
Running shoes, goggles if you have them, caged helmet if wanting to try box lacrosse.
Note: girls field lacrosse is different from the HLA box lacrosse program including things like equipment, playing surface and rules.
