2025 FULL SEASON DETAILS


Welcome SOFT (U5) & Paperweight (U7) players!

We are super excited to get you out on the floor this season.

KEY DETAILS-

Season Start Date: 
•    Monday Players: April 28th, 6-7pm at Dave Andreychuk Arena (Mountain Arena)
•    Wednesday Players: April 30th, 6-7pm at Dave Andreychuk Arena (Mountain Arena)

 

Regular Schedule:
•    Our program will run for 9 weeks at Dave Andreychuk Arena (Mountain Arena) on Mondays and Wednesday at 6pm. We will remain at Mountain Arena for the entire season.
•    Programming will end on June 25th for the Wednesday group and June 30th for the Monday group. The Monday group will end one week later due to Victoria Day.

Equipment Required:
•    For this age group only helmet and gloves will be required

Free Stick:
•    If your player was NEW to lacrosse this year, they are eligible for a free stick
•    If you have not already picked up your free sticks, they can be picked up on the opening night of play (April 28 and 30)
Team Assignment & Player Shirts:
•    Team assignment information and player shirts will be picked up on the opening night of play (April 28 & 30)

Parent Volunteers:
•    Although we have some knowledgeable coaches on the floor, we could always use some extra hands. The little ones often need help picking up their stick or even a squirt of their water bottle. If you are interested in helping out, please let us know!

 

U7 Bengals Team:
We will be offering a Bengals “Select” team for the 2025 season.  Tryouts for this team will take place the first week of May and games will start in June.  This team will also participate in two paperweight tournaments this season.  More details to come!


Welcome U9 players to the 2025 season!

KEY DETAILS-

Season Start Date: 

The U9 Season tentatively scheduled to start the week of April 14th with two nights of skill assessment & development.  Players will attend ONE night this week based on the players last name:
•    Monday April 14th 6pm- 7pm, (Rosedale Arena) - Last names starting with A-K
•    Wednesday April 16th 6pm-7pm, (Rosedale Arena) - Last names starting with L-Z
•    Regular programing will start the week of April 28th with players attending both nights of play moving forward.

•    U9 programing will be scheduled at 6pm moving forward. 
•    Our regular programming will be on Mondays and Wednesday nights at either Rosedale or Valley Park Arena to start the season
•    We will be moving this program exclusively to Chedoke later in May once ice is removed
•    This program will run for 10 weeks and will end the week of June 23th

 

Equipment Required:

  • For this age group full equipment is required with the exception of kidney pads
  • Players can utilize hockey gear including helmet, shoulder pads, and gloves

Free Stick:

  • If your player was NEW to lacrosse this year, they are eligible for a free stick
  • If you have not already picked up your free sticks, they can be picked up on the opening night of play (April 14 and 16)

Team Assignment:

  • All team assignment will be emailed directly to families after the assessment night!
  • Jersey pickup will be the first week of practice/play April 28 & 30

2025 REGISTRATION DETAILS

The HLA will be releasing more details about our U5/ U17, U9, and U13 House League divisions shortly. 

We are also offering a U15 House League as well. 

This program has not been offered in recent years, but due to heightened interest, it is in the process of being planned. 

MORE U15 HOUSE LEAGUE PLAYERS ARE NEEDED -  please share this information with other potential players to ensure we have the numbers for a successful league. Register today to help us plan programming accordingly.

Program Details:

U5/U7 Soft/Paperweight (2022, 2021, 2020, 2019) Program:

  • U5/U7 is a non-contact program that lets kids learn in a fun environment, developing lacrosse skills through play with hands on coaching
  • Players will be on the floor 1 hour a week
  • Programing will be offered on Mondays and Wednesdays for these age groups with parents able to select the day that works best for their schedule 
  • All players will receive a Hamilton Lacrosse dry fit t-shirt
  • All NEW PLAYER registrations in the paperweight program are eligible for a FREE stick valued at $60
  • Helmet & Gloves are all you need to play (you can use your Hockey Helmet & Gloves)  
  • NOTE: You will register for the general program in the portal and in early April all registered participants will be sent a survey to select their night of play for the season (Monday or Wednesday)           

U9 (2018, 2017) Program:

  • U9 is a non-contact program that lets kids learn in a fun environment, developing lacrosse skills through play with hands on coaching
  • Players will be on the floor twice a week for an hour
  • Programing will run on Monday and Wednesday nights
  • All players will receive a Hamilton Lacrosse team jersey
  • All NEW TO LACROSSE registrations in the U9 program are eligible for a FREE stick valued at $60
