Laurier University Field Lacrosse Camp

On Saturday, August 18th, join the Laurier Golden Hawks for a great opportunity!

Directed by Wilfrid Laurier Men’s Head Lacrosse Coach, Clancy Almas, the Fall Development Camp is designed for athletes who aspire of playing lacrosse at a higher level, like for your own Golden Hawks.

The one-day camp will focus on stick skills, position play, team concepts and an overall intense level of field lacrosse competition. Discussions on what it takes to become a Golden Hawk as well as a campus tour are included.

25 athletes will be given the opportunity to join the Young Hawks team and have the right to join the Golden Hawks at training camp for the full weekend. Even participate in a squad game.

Instruction will take place at University Stadium Field, on the beautiful campus of Wilfrid Laurier University.

 

HIGHLIGHTS INCLUDE

  • Age groups U13 and U16 for those with aspirations to play collegiate lacrosse
  • Instructional Camp 1:00 AM-3:00 PM
  • Lunch 3:00 pm to 4:00 PM
  • U13 mini game 3:30 pm
  • U16 Purple vs White 4:30 pm

    CAMP COACHES

    Head Coach Clancy Almas

    Clancy Almas enters his fifth year as head coach of the Golden Hawks Lacrosse program. He has extensive experience coaching in Hamilton plus with Team Ontario, Edge Lacrosse and Team Ireland.

    Assistant Coach Tom Bileski

    Tom Bileski is in his fourth year with the Golden Hawks. In his time with Laurier he has worked with the Golden Hawks goalies, ran the bench; along with his responsibilities as the team’s General Manager.

    Assistant Coach Albert Rehanek

    Albert Rehanek is the newly acquired offensive coach of the Golden Hawks. He has guided players and teams in Brampton plus with Team Ontario, Northern Lacrosse and has teamed up with Coach Almas on many occasions.

    Assistant Coach Tage Crooks

    Tage Crooks was a four-year standout with the Golden Hawks team and now has joined the team as an assistant coach so that he can give back to the team he loves…

    Current and Alumni players will help with the personal one on one instructions for our campers.
