Rep Box Lacrosse
Hamilton Lacrosse also offers Rep Level lacrosse with the team name of "Hamilton Bengals", for those interested in participating at a higher level of competition. Bengal teams play against other lacrosse associations from all over Ontario. Rep teams travel in the OLA’s Zone 9 for regular season games and to various weekend tournaments from April to August. Bengal tryouts start in early April for boys’ and girls’ teams. All participants must be registered with HLA before they can try out. There is an additional cost required to play at the rep level.
Regular Season games take place between Zone 9 Centres: Burlington, Fort Erie, Hamilton, Lincoln, Niagara-on-the-Lake, St. Catharine's, Simcoe, Six Nations, and Welland. Not all Centres have teams in all age groups.
2019 Bengals Rep Tryout Dates & Times
2019 try outs will take place at Stoney Creek Arena, 37 King St W, Stoney Creek.
-ALL PLAYERS MUST BE REGISTERED BEFORE TRYOUTS FOR ANY REP TEAM.
-A $40 TRYOUT FEE IS ASSESSED TO ALL PLAYERS; THIS COVERS YOUR FLOOR TIME THROUGHOUT THE TRYOUT PROCESS AND A HLA REVERSIBLE PINNIE.
-ONCE SELECTED TO A BENGAL TEAM A $100 WILL BE COLLECTED, THIS FEE WILL BE APPLIED TO YOUR BENGAL FEE.
-PLAYERS MUST ATTEND TEAM 1 TRYOUTS TO BE CONSIDERED FOR TEAM 2.
REGISTRATION INFORMATION
All tryout participants must register before stepping on the floor.
Registrations can be done online up until the day of tryouts. Registrations will NOT be made available during Bengal tryouts. Please be aware our staff may be busy signing in players trying out for teams and you may be asked to wait a few minutes.
